Tucked away in the dense jungle of Mexico’s west coast one can find a magical beach with more unique qualities than meets the eye.
Aside from the tropical water, plunging cliffs, and postcard-worthy beauty, this beach is actually known for its mud.
The hills that dip into the coarse sand are made of a therapeutic mud that, as rumor has it, does wonders to your skin.
I personally had never done a mud bath, but I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about, and now I am 100% a believer.
After covering my skin (and hair) in mud, letting it dry, and removing it in the ocean, my skin felt as smooth as ever, and my hair felt better than any shampoo/conditioner combo that I’ve ever experienced.
This particular mud bath requires some serious navigating of windy dirt roads, but if you have a vehicle that can get you there safely, it’s worth the effort.
